Devotion 3/21, Lord, Lay Your Hand On Me!

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.1 Corinthians 13:4-5
The church at Corinth was having many problems, one of which was their attitudes and actions towards each other. They were an impatient, envious, and selfish people that rarely were mindful of others feelings, and were resentful to boot! So, Paul is reminding them in this chapter what real and true love looks like, it is the kind of love that Christ bestows on us and that we should in turn show to others.
Have you noticed that all of the attributes mentioned in these verses describe our wonderful Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? When He walked this earth He exemplified these characteristics perfectly. As we make our journey through this life we are to be becoming more and more like Him everyday as we live our lives in accordance with His will and Word!
So, how will you exhibit the love of God today?
Thank You Jesus for showing me how I am to live my life, I can not love others on my own power, I know that is has to come from You so I pray that You help me to walk in love for those in my world each day. I give You all praise and glory this day, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
