Devotion 4/3, A New Commandment

This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.
1 John 3:11
The original message? Love one another. The enduring message? Love one another. The most convincing message? Love one another. The most difficult message? Love one another. The clearest message? Love one another.
Sometimes that confuses people when they need a difficult discussion on a difficult or uncomfortable topic. But when done, not out of criticism but out of love, we are answering God’s call in sharing His Word. But only when it’s out of love.
This is the story we’re are called to write with our lives. Love one another.” It’s Jesus’ enduring message to us, it is clear: Love one another!
Loving Father, I commit to you that I will intentionally show my love for your children in what I do and say. I do this trusting in your grace and the Holy Spirit to empower me to do more loving things and be more loving than I could be on my own. I want to obey my Lord’s command to love others as he did. Through Jesus, my Savior, I pray. Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
