Devotion 4/9, Did You Talk to God Today?

I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither present nor the future, nor powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is ours in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 8:38-39
Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, and our faith that he did it for us, we are in Christ. We know we’ll never have to be separated from God’s love. He bore the separation so we would never have to fear it. Nothing in all creation can separate us from God’s love for us in Jesus!
I love how the apostle Paul goes through a list of things that might conceivably separate us from God’s love, and then dismisses every single one of them!
One commentator said, “Paul ransacked the universe for something that could separate us from God and found that there is nothing that can!”
Gracious Father, thank you for loving us in Jesus and adopting us as your children in Christ to bring us close to you. Thank you for promising that nothing can separate us from your love. Use the Holy Spirit to help us know, deep inside, making us aware of your accompanying presence in our lives as you live with us, in us, and make your home with us as we live for you. We pray this in Jesus name. Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
