Devotion 9/30, Love it or hate it!
Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.
Romans 15:7
We can anticipate the choir of heaven, Revelation 7:9, if we will accept one another in Jesus and not let racism, sexism, culture, nationality or other divisions keep us from loving each other as we have already been loved by the Savior.
The bible does say whenever one sees there final day, some will be included in His kingdom and others will be excluded. John 14:6,
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” So people I know will not see eternal life with Him, but are destined for eternal damnation.
People will say they believe in God, but when you bring up Jesus Christ, it can be polarizing! Christ makes it a personal relationship, you are held accountable. Look around, less and less people want to be held accountable for anything, let alone following Christ’s teachings.
This world bases a persons worth on how much wealth or popularity that they have. But in God’s economy, our worth is based solely on the work and blood of Christ on the cross for our sins. When God looks at us He sees us through the blood of Christ which covers all our sin and makes us all equally valuable to Him and worthy to be called His dearly loved children! So a choice has to be made by every person, a personal relationship with Christ, or not. Nothing more, nothing less.
We are still called to love our neighbor, no hate, to witness by planting His seed in people’s hearts so the Holy Spirit can change their soul. We are called to pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ, but also for our enemies.
Treat our brothers and sisters in Christ and all those that come into our lives with the love we possess through the Holy Spirit that indwells us. When we do these things, when we accept both those we agree and disagree with, we bring praise to God, for we are obeying His Word!
Lord, thank you for accepting me as Your child, help me to see others through Your eyes, and treat them with the love that You would treat them. Send your Holy Spirit to dwell in the hearts of all of my friends, family, and family of faith. Help me to plant the seed in hearts for your Holy Spirit to do his work. For Your glory and in Jesus’ name, Amen!
We are called to accept and respect all, not agree or disagree with them. We are called to witness for Christ in all we say and do. We are called to sow the good seed, the infallible word of God. You are in my prayers this morning. I pray for His Holy Spirit to move your soul.
