Devotion 10/30, A timely Word

A man finds joy in giving an apt reply — and how good is a timely word!
Proverbs 15:23

Listening to others after having listened to God in his Word is what tunes our ears and our hearts to bless others.
God has given us fellow Christians that are in close relationship with Christ to help and guide us through matters that come up as we seek to live our lives centered on Jesus.
God never intended for us to live solitary lives as His children, we are to help each other with advice and encouragement that is in line with God’s Word the bible. This is especially true for those who are newly born again, we who have known the Lord for years and are in close fellowship with Him are to come along beside new believers and help them through different circumstances that come their way, until they get some spiritual maturity or confidence. Then they can go forward and help someone else, this is how God intends for us to interact with each other as a true family, a family of faith!
Any advice or encouragement that we give others should be founded in God’s Word, for His Word is the source of true wisdom and all that is good for our lives. This world’s advice and counsel is all together worthless, for it is not using God’s Word as the standard. Be very careful with whose counsel you listen to!

Thank You Father for Your precious life-giving Word. Help me to give a timely word to those You place in my path each day to bring honor and glory to You. Thank You for loving me and for sending Jesus to die for my sins, I give You thanks and praise, Amen!

Lord, I know words have meaning. I pray the Holy Spirit guide me through my bible studies, that I might have the right words to help lift someone up that is struggling. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen
Love this song, enjoy!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
