Devotion 1/10, He will see you as Flawless

For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. Ephesians 1:4

A little change in this verse may help to make it personal for each one of us. Change “us” to “me”.
“For he chose ‘me’ in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.”
Wow, God has had me in His plan since “before” creation. Now that’s personal. When we accept Christ as our personal Savior, everything changes. From that point on, He doesn’t see our past, our sins, our guilt. He sees us as “flawless”. I love the line “No matter what they say, or what you think you are; the day you called His name, He made you…flawless.”- Mercy Me.
What a comforting thought. It’s time to change our mindset. Satan loves to distract us from God, so he has us focus on our flaws and weaknesses. Instead, let’s change our focus today to looking at ourselves as God sees us. He sees, possibility and strength through Him, a soldier for His kingdom. Some will be the sharp shooter that can attack with that precise scripture for the situation. Others will disseminate scripture for us to understand the situation from God’s eye. And then there’s those that will simply love the enemy to death. It overwhelms satan that people can love others as God loves them. Satan survives through hate to divide us, but God’s love brings people together.
So today, as you go forward, take heart that you are flawless in God’s sight. If you focus on your sin or short comings, you’re not seeing yourself as God sees you. So let go of those burdens we keep carrying around and start focusing on our role as warriors for His army and His kingdom. Pray for our enemy, pray for His kingdom, pray to thank Him for all our blessings, His grace, mercies and love.

Loving Father, thank you for accepting me just as I am. Strengthen my resolve to live a more Christ-like life to serve others and render satan helpless to the love that overflows from you through me. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

It’s time to meet with your Beloved, your Savior and the Lover of your soul! Come to Him today as you would want your children to come to you… accepted and loved for who you are.
If Jesus had died to save us and forgive our sins and chose to forget our sin, why are we holding onto it so tightly?
From this moment on, chose to identify ourselves through Jesus Christ. We are His.
Thank you Lord for accepting me as your child, saved only by your love and redeeming grace. Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
