Devotion 1/16, His Unfailing Love

O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption. Psalm 130:7

As children of God there is no record of our sins kept by God. When we placed our trust in Jesus, His blood paid for all our sins – past, present, and future! There is no itemized account that we are expected to pay, because we can’t. The only payment for sin is the precious blood of Christ, that is all that God will accept (1 John 1:7, Ephesians 1:7, Colossians 1:14).
God, has shown mercy, love, and grace for us by providing His one and only Son to take our sin upon Himself on the cross and pay our sin debt in full (Ephesians 2:8-9)! Yep, “PAID IN FULL!”

Knowing all this, God is to be feared. The meaning of “feared” here is reverenced, worshiped, loved, trusted and respected. Do we show in our lives that we worship, respect, trust, love and reverence God? How we live, what we do, what we say, how we treat everyone in our daily path should all be a reflection of our relationship with our God.
When we disappoint, hurt, offend, or rebel against God, he still loves us. While we were sinners he sent Jesus to redeem us from sin and death. Why trust anything or anyone else with our future? Lean on God’s unfailing love!

Thank You Father God for loving me and for throwing my sin as far as the east is from the west, for purposely remembering them no more! All my hope is in You alone and I give You all the honor and praise that You so rightly deserve this day, Amen!

God wants to hear from you, whether your mad at Him, seeking answers, need to complain, need to release your frustration, whatever. He just wants to hear from you, he wants you to know his love is unfailing, no matter your past. He wants to hear from you right where you are now.
He’s the ultimate listener and comfortor.
Lord, there’s a lot of hurt and pain out there. I pray all I say and do today will be a reflection of your unfailing love in my life, that Your light shine so bright, those in fear and hurting will be drawn to know and accept your love and grace. Thank you Lord, for saving me everyday as I fall. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
