Devotion 2/2, My Jesus Christ, He Rescued Me!

He has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son he loves. In him we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Colossians 1:13-14

When someone buys out a business, the business probably went bankrupt. In fact, the same thing happened to us when Jesus on the market place of sin and death. He alone was able, but also loved us enough, to buy us out of the eternal mess through His blood. He alone had the power and strength to convert bankrupt lives into temples of the living God.

God has rescued us from the dungeon, the domain of darkness and has brought us into the marvelously lit kingdom of Jesus. This is where we were always meant to be. His kingdom is our true home. To be under Jesus’ reign and rule is what we all need. He leads us beside still waters, he makes us lie down in green pastures, and he even walks with us in the valley of the shadow of death. Indeed, he has walked with us through the valley of the shadow of death and he has delivered us through it, onto the other side, and into His kingdom.

We have much to be thankful for. Take a few minutes and, in prayer, thank Jesus for being the King who saw it fit to rescue you and welcome you into His kingdom. Thank you Lord, Amen.
Christ, you rescued me. The grace and love you pour out on me are overwhelming, that You could love me so much. I seek strength to be the person you see in me. I ask that the Holy Spirit dwell in my soul, that I am the best version of me, for You! This ask in Your name, my Rock and my Salvation, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
