Devotion 2/4, He’s Never Failed Me Yet!

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.  2 Corinthians 4:7
The treasure that Paul is speaking of here is the wonderful message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The “jars of clay” is referring to our frail human bodies. It seems unlikely that these human bodies of ours could contain the magnificent power that the message of Christ holds, but with God all things are possible!
God has given each and every believer in Christ His Holy Spirit, and with Him comes great power to do all that He calls on us to do. Even though these bodies of ours fail us from time to time, God will never fail us, He created these bodies and knows their limitations better than we do. God, however, cannot be “limited”, He spoke this world into existence, raised the dead, parted the Red Sea, and healed the sick. God has given us an entire Bible to show His love for us, His power over creation, and His divine supremacy over all things!
God, I thank You for loving me, for keeping me, and for blessing me in more ways than I can count. Help me to continually place You first in my life and to obey Your Word always. I give You all praise this day Abba, Amen!
He’s never failed me yet!
CiCi rocks this song. The whole song tells the story. Enjoy it, think about it! He’s never failed me yet!
Lord, you are my Rock. You have never failed me yet, but I keep stumbling on this life’s journey. I seek to be a better child of Yours today and all of my tomorrows with Your Word, strength, love and grace to move my soul. Thank you for seeing me as you do. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
