Devotion 2/7, To Him be the Glory!
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
Ephesians 3:20-21
We humans are very good at limiting God. We tend to think of Him as a human being like us instead of the Almighty Living God of the universe that He is! He is not only quite capable of doing more than we ask, but also what we imagine as long as it is in line with His Word and His will for our lives. Every time I start to inadvertently limit God, I find it helpful to look at nature and the intricacy with which He created it. He who spoke creation into existence can certainly take care of every single detail of my needs.
The “power that is at work with in us” is the Holy Spirit, He is constantly at work in our lives seeking to produce fruit in us of a Christ-like nature.
Our God is such an awesome God. To Him be the Glory.
Thank You Jesus for loving me and for dying for my sin so that I can spend eternity in heaven with You. Help me to be more and more like You each day. You are the Author and Finisher of my faith, I give You all praise and glory this day my Savior, Amen!
Loving Father, please help me better know and live your will. I want to be your vessel of ministry, healing, blessing, and hope to those around me at work and play. Please use me to your glory today, and always. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
