Devotion 2/14, I Love You Lord!

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
Romans 12:9
When we are studying God’s Word and applying what we learn from Him, then we are clinging to what is good for God is good all the time! We can never go wrong obeying Him in all things, it is not always easy, but it is always right and always pleasing to God.
Genuine love involves hate. Genuine love means that we hate evil. We detest it creeping into our hearts and ruining our relationships. We abhor its effects on those we love. We are repelled by the eternal destruction it causes in those whose lives are tender, weak, or wavering. So the best thing we can do for those we love is to cling to what is good and stay far away from evil and wickedness.
Loving Father, may my life be a source of goodness and joy for my family and friends. Please give me the wisdom to see what is good and the courage to pursue it passionately. Please protect me from the evil one and forgive me when I have followed his temptations. Please protect those I love from the fallout of my own selfish and sinful decisions. Please purify and cleanse me so my life may be lived holy and wholly to you. In the name of your Holy Son, Jesus. Amen.
Let’s start our day telling our Lord “I Love You Lord”.
“We love Him, because He first loved us” 1John 4:10 KJV.
Then make sure you tell your loved ones you love them. Sometimes we find ourselves on a rough road with our loved ones. But with God’s love we endure and enjoy the sweet rewards at the end of the struggle, God’s blessings, mercies and grace. Sometimes nothing else needs to be said, just “I love you”.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
