Devotion 3/16, His Plan His Time
It is not good to have zeal without knowledge, nor to be hasty and miss the way. Proverbs 19:2
Seeking and praying for God’s wisdom is the best thing a child of God can do! He loves it when we ask for wisdom. His Word is full of His wisdom, and when we study and apply Scripture to our lives we are indeed growing in godly knowledge.
We makes all kinds of hasty plans, but our plans do not effect God’s purpose one bit. God’s purpose and plan will always prevail! I take great comfort in that for I am His child and know that he always knows what is best for me and when. He will always work things out for my good when I trust in and lean on Him (Romans 8:28-39). The key is to have a flexible heart towards God. There is nothing wrong with making a plan, in fact the Bible tells us to count the cost of something before we do it, but we need to be ready to change our plan if God’s is different from ours. I have found great success in praying about my plans and waiting on God’s answer. And I have found great failure when I was too impatient and did not ask Him His will and just plowed ahead following my own agenda.
Our Creator God loves us so much and has great plans for us in this life! Can we be patient and spiritually mature enough to trust Him to have His perfect way in our lives?
Thank You Father God for never leaving me or forsaking me even when I mess up and neglect Your perfect plan for me. I am so thankful for Your steadfast and faithful love, help me to have spiritual zeal to follow Your will always for Your glory Lord, Amen!
His plan in His time is always best.
