Devotion 3/18, Jesus is coming back!

My righteousness draws near speedily, my salvation is on the way, and my arm will bring justice to the nations. The islands will look to me and wait in hope for my arm.  Isaiah 51:5
God’s promises stand through the ages. He has fulfilled them in many different ways. He has punished evil nations, redeemed Israel according to his promises, and sent Jesus as the Savior and Redeemer for all people. Maybe most importantly for us, Jesus stands at the edge of history, waiting to return and bring full redemption for God’s people and salvation for those everywhere who long for his return (2 Timothy 4:8).
When it seems that evil and injustice are winning in our world today, remember that God is in control and He will only let mankind go so far and then He will send Jesus to take His children from this world to forever be with Him! We have this great assurance from God, so there is no reason for us to become unsettled when we see the despicable acts that people do against God and to each other, for one day Christ will reign on this earth and they will pay for their evil acts.
Father God, I patiently wait for You to send Jesus back to take all who have placed their faith in You from this wicked world. But until then, help me to continue to tell the yet unsaved of Your love for them, and of the salvation that You offer through Christ Jesus. I give You all glory, honor, and praise this day, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
