Devotion 3/27, At The Cross!

Since the children have flesh and blood, [Jesus also] shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death — that is, the devil.  Hebrews 2:14
It’s hard to imagine just how much Christ lowered Himself to take on human flesh and come to this wicked world to die for our sins.
He came and walked among us, He experienced hunger, exhaustion, joy, sadness…etc., so when we go through the trials of life we can be assured that Jesus knows exactly what we are experiencing. He knows what it is like to be human. What a lowly position He took on, all out of His love for us. We certainly did nothing to deserve His love but out of His abundant grace and mercy He came to this world and went to the cross to cover all our sins before God and defeat death and hell for good!
When Jesus Christ’s blood flowed down that cross, atonement was made for all who would place their faith in Him. He was the only sacrifice that God would accept for our sin, He was the only sacrifice that could deliver a death wound to satan. The devil has no power over any child of God except what we give him.
Our love for God and our obedience to His Word delivers a sucker punch to satan every time!
Lord Jesus, thank You for coming to this earth and redeeming me to God. Help me to be bold in my walk for You and to be a true reflection to all those in my path each day of Your love for them. I give You all praise, honor and glory, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
