Devotion 4/19, Great is Thy Faithfulness
O LORD, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief.  Psalm 143:1
His trust in the Lord does not falter, as David begins to reflect on the goodness of the Lord and starts to express his intense longing for God, before breaking into song about the great goodness and perfect righteous of our Heavenly Father.
From beginning to end, this is a psalm that could be the prayerful petition of any of God’s children. No matter how far any one of us have strayed from the Lord, He hears our penitential cries, for we have a God who hears our prayers and gives ear to our supplications. We have a God Who is faithful in His righteousness.
Let us be ready and willing to humbly submit to the Holy Spirit within, and ask Him to lead us and to guide us, to teach us and to train us in the way that He would have us go. Day by day, let us rejoice in the Lord our God, and lift up our hearts in prayer and praise, for He alone is worthy.
Heavenly Father, I thank and praise You that Your loving-kindness is new every morning and that You are ready and willing to lead and guide me in the way that I should go. Give me a teachable spirit, I pray, and a heart that is filled with praise for You alone. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
