Devotion 5/29, Praise the Lord!

Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits — who forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases…
Psalm 103:2-3
For some reason it is easier for us as humans to focus on those things that we do not have, instead of being thankful for what God has already given us. I know it sounds a bit cliché, but we really do need to take time once in a while and count our blessings. God has given us the very best gift of all when He sent Jesus to this earth to pay our sin debt to Him. We can always be thankful for that! Our circumstances may not be always pleasant in life, but we know the Creator of all things and He loves His own and has promised that He will work things out for our good (Romans 8:28).
Our hearts should just bubble over with praise to our awesome God, He has promised to never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). How comforting to know that He is always watching out for us and has given us His Holy Spirit to indwell us for peace, comfort, and joy as we go through this life for His glory!
How can I sufficiently praise you Father, for your mercy and grace that has forgiven, pardoned, and cleansed me of my sin. Help me never to forget the joy of being forgiven and included in your family. Thank you for your salvation. In Jesus’ name I praise you. Amen.
Praise the Lord!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
