Devotion 6/4, God’s children

From infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.  2 Timothy 3:15
Timothy certainly had a mother and grandmother who taught him well for they taught him about faith in Jesus Christ. There are many things that mothers teach their children from the time they are born, but none is more important than teaching them God’s Word and purposing to show them a life that is lived for Christ!
Personal faith will be won in adolescence and adulthood, but being surrounded by faith in infancy is such a great head start. To fill a child’s world with love, hope, faith, and promise because of Jesus is one of the greatest gifts a parent can give!
Father God, thank You for giving me parents who loved and lived for You. Thank You for sending Jesus to die for my sins and securing a place in heaven for me through faith in His blood shed at Calvary. Help me to be a worthy example of You to my child and grandchildren all the days of my life, for Your glory Father, Amen!
Was there a better song growing up? Share His Word and this song with your children and grandchildren. You are building their foundation, the beginning of their spiritual personality.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
