Devotion 6/7, Pray!
Pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.
2 Thessalonians 3:1
Yet another verse in God’s Word that instructs us, as God’s children, to pray for each other. We know that there is great power in prayer, and one of the things we should pray for each day is that the gospel of Jesus Christ is spread quickly and effectively!
It is not just the job of missionaries and pastors to spread the gospel, it is the responsibility of every believer in Christ. So as we start each day our focus is to be who we can share the Lord with that day. It is amazing all the ways that come up in which a word for Christ can be inserted.
What a privilege we have been given by God, Oh that we would seek ways each day to point people to Christ for the glory of God, through the Holy Spirit, by what we say and do.
Mark 16:15
He (Jesus) said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
Precious Lord Jesus, thank You for coming to this world and dying on the cross for my sins. Give me the words each day to point the yet unsaved towards You. Help me to show them through my love for You what a glorious life this can be with You as Lord and Savior. I give You all praise, honor, and glory this day, Amen!
