O land, land, land, hear the word of the Lord.

Jeremiah 22:29

As I look around at the wickedness in our world and the turning away from God that I see in nearly every country, I can’t help but think the endtime is near.  But God’s timing is perfect, and He will send Christ when it is time to do so. Until then, we who know Christ can go to those in our world and say to them what Jeremiah said thousands of years ago, “O earth, earth, earth, listen to the Word of the Lord.” (KJV) We can share with them the gospel of Jesus Christ and pray diligently for people to be receptive to the good news that is only found in our wonderful, loving Savior!

This entire chapter of Jeremiah tells how God will deal with wicked rulers and nations. God is not only merciful, as most in our world want to view Him. God is also just, holy, and righteous. He delivers judgment in His own time, but make no mistake, He will stand in judgment against countries and peoples that do not honor Him! One can read the Bible and see how God deals with those who mock and disrespect Him. The Old Testament is full of factual accounts of the justice of God.

This was well known to Jeremiah, so he is pleading with the people to hear the word of the Lord and turn to God in repentance and forgiveness before it is too late and destruction comes.

Holy and Almighty God, please move powerfully in our day to bring revival. Open the hearts of the people of all nations to your truth and enable those who proclaim your word to speak your truth with power. Also, dear Lord, please use me to help make a difference in the lives of those around me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

ABBA, I pray your Holy Spirit fill our hearts like never before. Revive us dear Lord, that we are driven to live our lives with a passion like never before to witness for you and your kingdom by what say and do today. I give you all praise and glory and I give thanks for your blessings, grace and mercy that you continue shower down on me each and every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
