Devotion 7/7, Holy, Holy, Holy
Above [the Lord] were seraphs, each with six wings … and they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” Isaiah 6:2-3
God is so trivialized in our society today, isn’t He? Mankind is forever trying to make God like themselves. His name is used as a curse word, His authority over man is rejected and mocked, and some even shake their fist at Him. Humans are constantly running further and further away from God, away from the very love they desire if they would only stop long enough to listen to Him and accept the love He is offering through Jesus Christ His Son!
When Jesus came and shed His holy, pure, and innocent blood for us on the cross, He made a way for us to become holy in God’s sight through our faith and trust in Christ. We have an Advocate in Jesus and we can go into God’s presence at any time because we are His blood bought children (Ephesians 3:12)! Astounding that we can stand before our Holy God, clean, and washed of our sins! Have you thanked Him today? Have You gone to Him in prayer and worshipped at His feet?
Thank You my precious Lord Jesus for coming to this world and redeeming my soul to God through Your sacrifice on the cross at Calvary. Help me to live my life in a worthy manner, and to be an example of Your love to all I meet, for Your glory my Savior. I love You so, the Author and Finisher of my faith, Amen!
I believe that when we get to heaven one day we are going to be truly amazed at the depth of holiness our wonderful God is!
How beautiful heaven must be!
