Devotion 7/9, Nothing but the Blood!

Then one of the seraphs flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”
Isaiah 6:6-7
Just as the burning coal took away the stain of sin from Isaiah’s lips and his sin was atoned for, so is the blood of Christ to those who place their faith in Him. That holy, pure, and innocent blood of the Lamb of God touches and covers our sins for all eternity! Our souls are redeemed to God and we are free to serve Him in any way that He calls us to in this life. Our guilt from past, present, and future sins is washed away under the blood of Jesus (Revelation 1:5), those sins are buried in the deepest sea (Micah 7:19, and cast as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12).
Satan tries to keep us bogged down in guilt to keep us ineffective in our service to Christ. But Christ has conquered our sin, He defeated satan at the cross (Colossians 2:15) and we can rest in that fact and carry on for Christ, being a faithful witness for and example of Him to all we are around. We can follow Jesus unashamedly and do all that He asks us to for we are forgiven!
So, what should our attitude be each day as we rise and go out into this world?
My precious Lord Jesus, thank You for coming to this earth and laying Your life down at the cross for my sins. Your blood has cleansed me and made me fit to be in the presence of God. I give You all praise and glory this day, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
