Devotion 7/11, Blessed Beyond All Measure

Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”  Psalm 126:2
What a lesson for us in this wonderful verse. As believers in Jesus Christ and therefore God’s children, we can certainly look at our lives and see the loving care of our awesome God! He has blessed us beyond measure no matter the current circumstances we are in because He has rescued us from an eternity in hell through the death, burial, and resurrection of His one and only Son Jesus Christ! Every morning as we rise we have a lot to be joyful about, we have many reasons to praise Him and to tell others of God’s greatness in our lives. Think of the testimony our lives can be to those who do not yet know Christ. When they see us with a smile on our face and joy in our hearts they may want that same joy for themselves, giving us an opportunity to share the reason for our joy, Jesus Christ!
The joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Is there any emotion that is more sought after in our world today than joy? The unsaved are looking for it in so many empty areas, aren’t they?
Father God, thank You for the joy You have brought to my life. Thank You for the never ending love that You have for me. Help me to show this joy and love to those in my world each day Father, for Your glory. I Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!
Lord, may I start each day giving thanks and praise to You. For You have filled my life with such awesome people from family and friends to those I have an opportunity to witness to. I am truly blessed beyond all measure. I pray the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart will be pleasing to You and will be for Your glory. In your name I pray, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
