Devotion 10/3, His redeeming love and my unworthiness
Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
1 Chronicles 16:10
Where does your strength come from? Do you depend on yourself or this world to build you up and make you a person of character? If you are, you are not going to develop the kind of strength that God desires for His children. As God’s children through faith in Christ, our strength comes from God, and Him alone. When we seek His face through Scripture, and through prayer, then we are developing true and lasting strength, strength that will empower us to live the life that God calls us to live for Him!
For those whose hearts seek the Lord, glory is found in reverencing the holy name of the Father who gave up his precious Son so we could be his children. He loves us that much, and more: we will one day share in his glory (Colossians 3:1-4). Incredible!
You have blessed me in many ways, Father. How can I ever begin to thank you properly? Words cannot capture my appreciation, but I look forward to being eternally grateful in your presence for all that you have done. May all glory be yours in heaven, throughout the earth, and in my life, now and forever. In the name of Jesus, I praise and thank you. Amen.
