Devotion 10/6, in the shelter of His arms

But let all who take refuge in you [O God] be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
Psalm 5:11
Well not only is God our Defender and Rescuer, He blesses His children in mighty ways that many times we are not even aware of. God goes before us and behind us (Psalm 139:5), He shows favor to the righteous (those who have placed their faith in Christ Jesus).
2 Corinthians 5:21
What an awesome thing it is for the God of the universe to show favor to mere mankind. We certainly have no righteousness apart from Christ, but you see when God looks at us He sees Jesus in us, how cool is that?! That precious blood that Jesus shed on the cross cleanses all our sin and makes us fit before a holy and righteous God, truly amazing!
Almighty God, please bless our world with a season of peace. Bless us with a respite from the horrors Satan has afflicted on your children through the hatred of men. Please give us the courage, in peace or in persecution, to be open about our faith, generous with our forgiveness, and steadfast in our hope. Finally, Father, please bless those whose loved ones were martyred or persecuted because of their faith in you. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
