Devotion 10/15, The beauty of His holiness

Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth.  Psalm 96:9
It is impossible for us in these human minds that we have to fully grasp the splendor of His holiness! It is near impossible to even put it into words. Those times in Scripture when people encountered His angels, they fell to the ground and trembled, so can you imagine what it will be like to see Christ in all His splendor! The book of Revelation certainly tries to give us a somewhat detailed account, but even that does not tell us all of what it will be like to experience God in His holiness.
However, when it comes to our hearts we can appreciate His holiness and the fact that He loves us and calls us His children through faith in Christ Jesus. We can live lives that are obedient to Him and His Word (1 Peter 1:15-16). We can come before Him in worship and give Him thanks for who He is and for all that HE has done and will do for us out of His amazing grace, boundless love and mercy!
You are holy and majestic, O God, more than my mind can grasp or imagine. I worship and praise you for your glory, might, grace, and mercy. I look forward to the day when I will see your splendor face to face and join the angels of heaven and the elders in a never-ending worship of praise. Through Jesus, I offer this praise as I offer my life. Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
