Devotion 10/20, He never fails

“If you can?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes.”
Mark 9:23
Jesus was asked by a father of a boy to help the child who had been possessed by a demon for many years. This father was at his wits end and came to Jesus as a last resort for any kind of help He could give. Jesus’ response to him was, “everything is possible for one who believes.” What Christ was telling the distressed father was to have faith in Him, for He could certainly heal the boy if the father believed in Him!
While we may not be in the exact situation as the man that Jesus dealt with in this account in Scripture, God calls each and everyone of us to do things in our lives each day. We are to recognize and witness to others that our strength comes through faith in Christ, and that it is His strength displayed through us that we accomplish His plan.
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Father God, thank You for Your faithfulness to me. Even though I fail You many times, You have never failed me, never left me. I am looking forward to all that You have planned for my life. Help me to recognize Your will in every situation, for Your glory Abba, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
