Devotion 10/25, Great is Thy Faithfulness

“Ever since the time of your forefathers you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord Almighty.
Malachi 3:7
Well, we have all been there, haven’t we? We humans are a fickle people. There are times that we are so close to God, we are reading His Word, purposing in our hearts to obey Him, communing with Him in prayer…and then before you know it we slip away from Him for awhile! Could be we get to busy to spend time at His feet, or we have fallen into a sinful practice in our lives…etc. Soon our joy and peace is missing and we wonder why.
Satan devotes much of his time to trying to get our hearts away from Christ, and when we neglect time spent with God, it is very easy for the devil to accomplish his goal!
When our hearts are centered on God as they should be, our actions will follow. He’s never left me, but I have often wandered from Him.
Father, thank You for loving me. Thank You for Your precious Word, the Bible. Help me to spend time in it and to obey You each day, so that I may be a faithful witness for You in all I say and do. in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
