Devotion 11/2, Great is thy Faithfulness

The Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.  2 Thessalonians 3:3
From Philip Ware-
“We should steer clear of any appearance of evil. We shouldn’t involve ourselves in anything related to Satan and his work. We also need to remember that our Lord is greater than Satan and all of his evil angels. He is faithful. He will not abandon us to our enemy. God will strengthen us and protect us from attack if we draw near to him and let him use his power for us (James 4:7-10). We must seize the promise John reminded believers in the first century:
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4).”
Almighty God, thank you for giving me victory over Satan through the sacrifice of your Son, his cross, and his resurrection from the dead. He promised to return and take me home to you. Please strengthen and empower me to overcome temptation and resist the deceptive enticements of the Evil One. O Lord, it is only you that I want to worship, serve, and obey. To you belongs all glory forever and ever, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
