Devotion 11/4, God of every grace

If we confess our sins, [God] is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9
As God’s children, the indwelling Holy Spirit will convict us to confess our sin to God and when we do this it is forgiven on a Parental level and our fellowship with Him is restored and sweet again! There is no need to fear that we were ever in jeopardy of losing His love, for as it says in Romans 8:38-39, nothing can ever separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. And God promises us in Hebrews 13:5 to never leave us or forsake us. God can certainly be taken at His Word. If He says it, He will do it for He cannot lie!
Incredibly, when we confess our sin, God does more than forgive us. He also cleanses us. We are made new, fresh, pure, and holy once again! That is more than being faithful and just; it’s his being overwhelmingly gracious.
Thank You Father God for loving me and keeping me. Thank You for the eternal salvation that You give to those who place their faith in Your precious Son, Jesus Christ. I pray if there are those reading this who have never trusted Christ, that today they would do so. I thank you Lord, for your blessings, mercy and grace. I give You all honor and praise this day, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
