Devotion 11/12, Refresh me Lord

For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.
Isaiah 44:3
While this promise was made to Israel, God’s chosen people, it also applies to us today who have placed our faith in Jesus Christ! We are God’s children through His bloodshed at Calvary. We have the Holy Spirit of God living on the inside of us. We have a continual fountain of refreshment in us for when we go through those “parched earth” times in our lives! God has promised to never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), and He will supply all our needs (Philippians 4:19) as any good and loving parent does.
Generous and loving Father, thank you for so many blessings you have poured into my life. Most of all, dear Father, thank you for the blessing of your presence, your strength, your grace, and your refreshment given to me through your Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name, I thank you. Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
