Devotion 11/16, Encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ

We ought always to thank God for you, brothers, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing.
2 Thessalonians 1:3
It is a glorious thing when someone who has mentored us spiritually in life gives us words of encouragement and is thrilled with the progress we are making in our lives for Christ. Well that is just the situation we have in our verse today. The apostle Paul is rejoicing over the reports that he is receiving from others on the spiritual growth that is taking place in the church at Thessalonica.
C.H. Mackintosh says, “Faith puts us in contact with God Himself, and the necessary consequence is that our hearts are drawn out in love to all who belong to Him.”
Thank You Father for Your love for me, thank You for sending Jesus to redeem me to You. I pray that You help me to show Your love to all I come into contact with each day Father, for Your glory, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
