Devotion 11/20, Praise the Lord

Rejoice in the Lord, you who are righteous, and praise his holy name.
Psalm 97:12
In God’s sight we are righteous, not because of anything we have done, but because our sins are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ, He has made us righteous and fit to be in the very presence of God!
A child of God has the indwelling Holy Spirit that will convict and guide us so that when evil is around us we are aware of it and flee from and do not take part in it.
God is gloriously holy and majestic. He is wondrously eternal and just. We, on the other hand, are flawed, mortal, limited, and sinful. Yet in his rich mercy, he has made us righteous by the sacrifice of Jesus so that we could share an eternal home with him. Praise our Lord for His grace, mercy and love!
Thank You Father for Your faithful love and care for me in this life. Thank You for sending Jesus to die for my sins and redeem me to You. You have never failed me once and I know that You never will! Help me to live my life in obedience to You each day and to be a worthy example of Your love to others, all for Your glory, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
