Devotion 11/23, Joy in our hearts
Be joyful always.
1 Thessalonians 5:16
The joy of Christ lives on the inside of those who know Him as Lord and Savior. We have the indwelling Holy Spirit which gives us joy even in the midst of pain and suffering. When our gaze is fixed on Jesus, we certainly can always rejoice in Him and the knowledge that we are His children and are saved eternally.
We can rejoice always because we are God’s… ALWAYS!
Lord, please fill me with your Spirit and bring forth your fruit in my life, especially joy. Please fill my mouth with joyful praise for all that you have done for me and promised to me. In Jesus’ name, I joyfully thank you and pray. Amen.
