Devotion 12/1, Make room in your heart

For this is what the high and exalted One says — he who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.”
Isaiah 57:15
God came down to our level to save us by sending Jesus. We could not go to His level of holy perfection, so He sent His holiness through Christ to be our substitute and save us from a lost eternity in hell! When Christ’s holy and spotless blood flowed down that cross our way to God was opened up for all who would place their trust in Jesus. What a totally awesome God we have that He would care for us enough to send His only Son to suffer, bleed, and die for such fickle, wretched people as we are!
In Jesus, God surrendered his divine privileges and humbled himself so we could see both God’s grace and our path to him in his greatness as a servant (Philippians 2:5-11).
Father, thank You so very much for loving us and for sending Jesus to shed His blood for our sins! We come to you with a contrite heart, a heart that desires to serve You, but that fails You so many times. We look forward to the day when we are with You and perfected like You! We give You all praise, honor, glory and worship this day, Amen!
Make room in your heart!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
