Devotion 12/3, God only knows

O Lord, … be not silent. Do not be far from me, O Lord. Awake, and rise to my defense! Contend for me, my God and Lord.
Psalm 35:22-23

We feel the same as David did at times, don’t we? Even though we know that God never sleeps, and we know that He sees all and hears all that goes on in our lives. When He is silent and letting our misery continue, the thought can cross our mind; “Is He really hearing me, does He really care?”
The answer of course is “YES”, He loves us and cares about every single thing in our lives. He is a faithful and loving Parent who never has His eye off of His children for one second (Hebrews 13:5)!
Rest assured, God’s timing is always perfect, He is never early and never late! We do not know the future, He does.

Lord, thank You for loving me, for being my Deliverer, Rescuer, Defender, and Provider! Forgive me when I doubt Your love at times, for I know that You love me more than my human mind will ever comprehend. Thank You for sending Jesus to die for my sins and restore me to You. In your son’s name I pray and give thanks, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
