Devotion 12/14, A servant’s heart

When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the alien, the fatherless and the widow, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
Deuteronomy 24:19
As always we should look to Jesus, when He was on this earth He went about doing good. He healed the sick and fed the people, He gave His life for us out of love, His actions and responses were a reflection of His heart, God’s heart. His life was hallmarked by true and genuine LOVE, we as His children should have lives that mirror His.
Hebrews 13:16
Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
Lord, help me to be aware of the needs of those around me and to love others with Your love this day, for Your glory my King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
