Devotion 12/19, Look up!

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age…
Galatians 1:3-4
We certainly live in an evil age, don’t we? It seems that every time I watch the news, mankind has found yet another way to be evil! But this evil in our world has been around for thousands of years, and will be until the Lord returns and sets it straight.
However, as God’s children, we have been rescued from this present evil age. We are not just helpless targets for the devil, our lives will go just as God the Father wants them to when we obey Him and live a life that is purposed for Him (Romans 8:28). Yes, we will have unpleasant or even tragic things that happen to us, but we have the peace that only God can give inside of us through His Holy Spirit. His grace is sufficient for us in all circumstances that we may encounter in this life (2 Corinthians 12:9)!
So look UP, child of God!
Lord, thank You seems so inadequate to say for all that You have done for me. Yet I know You love to hear our thanks and praise! Thank You for rescuing me from the evil and darkness of this world and opening my eyes to the Light of Jesus Christ. I  will bask in Your light this day giving You all honor, praise, and glory, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
