Devotion 1/3, In the Beginning

He [the Word, the One we know as Jesus,] was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.  John 1:2-3
Jesus Christ’s personality and deity were without beginning. He did not become a person for the first time as a baby in Bethlehem. Neither did He somehow become a god after His resurrection, as some false teachers teach even today. He IS God from ALL eternity. As humans we can barely wrap our heads around this truth, but it is true none-the-less. We are so limited by scenes of time, God is not because He is timeless!
Knowing that God created this earth, sent Jesus here to die for our sins, and loves us more than any other ever will, shouldn’t we seek to obey His Word and please Him all the days of our life? What a magnificent God we serve!!
Father God, thank you for loving us. Thank You for sending Jesus to this wicked and corrupt world to be the sacrifice for our sins. We can never even come close to thanking You enough, but please accept our humble praise and adoration to You Father. We give You all the honor and glory that You so richly deserve this day, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
