Devotion 1/20, Come Holy Spirit, Come

I pray … that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know … [God’s] incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead…
Ephesians 1:17-20
When we accepted Christ’s blood as atonement for our sin and became born again, we received the indwelling Holy Spirit. We now have a part of the triune God-head living on the inside of us, revealing the truths of God’s Word to us, guiding us towards the life God has called us to, and helping us to know Him better!
Paul is praying that the Christians at Ephesus will be sensitive to the revelations of God that they are privy to through the “eyes” of their hearts.
God’s revelations are given to those who love Him. This opens up possibilities for every believer for it is not required that we have great intellect to communicate with the God of the universe, only a loving heart towards Him….and anyone can have that through Christ.
Thank You Father God for loving me. Thank You for the indwelling Holy Spirit! I will never understand this side of heaven why You desire to have a relationship with me, but I purpose to live my life for You and Your glory. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
