Devotion 1/22, Take a flying leap!

See, the Lord your God has given you the land. Go up and take possession of it as the Lord, the God of your fathers, told you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
Deuteronomy 1:21
Have you ever been afraid to do something that you know the Lord is calling you to do?
It is easy to talk about stepping out in faith, but much harder to actually live out. However, when we do step out in faith, God always shows up with the strength we need to accomplish His call!
Satan will always try and discourage us from obeying God, we must recognize that it is him and forge ahead for Jesus! The devil has zero power over us, he only has the power we give him. I am determined in my life to not give him one ounce of power over me because Christ has already won that battle, He has claimed the victory!
Father God, thank You for loving me and for sending Jesus to die for my sins! Thank You for the blessed Holy Spirit that dwells in me and gives me peace, joy, and comfort. Thank You for Your perfect care for me and for never leaving or forsaking me. I give You all the praise, honor and glory that You so richly deserve this day, Amen!
Sorry, but this song has been on my heart-https://youtu.be/aaj7YQZbvcY?feature=shared

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
