Devotion 1/24, Have it all Lord

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
1 Peter 1:23
The new birth that we have through faith in Christ Jesus, is brought about from imperishable seed which has it’s being in God who is eternal. As people read or hear God’s Word (the Bible), some are convicted of their sins and believe in Christ as their Lord and Savior and are at once born of God! This new birth will never bring about spiritual decay or death as the physical birth does for our physical bodies for this new birth is not subject to the laws of physical nature. This new birth comes from our heavenly Father who is eternal and will never pass away!
The Word of God will live forever, the heavens and earth will pass away, but God’s Word is settled forever in Heaven where God abides. Many have tried throughout the history of the world to destroy and eradicate the Bible, none have succeeded and no one ever will for it is not just a book, it is the living Word of God!
Precious Lord Jesus, thank You for redeeming me to God through Your bloodshed on the cross at Calvary! Help me to be an accurate example of You to all I meet each day. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
