Devotion 2/5, Joy Unspeakable!

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions — it is by grace you have been saved.    Ephesians 2:4-5

Thanks be to God, He loves us and sent Jesus to this earth to bleed and die for our sins at the cross of Calvary. He did not give us what we deserved, we deserved hell for eternity. But God is love and He is rich in mercy. He rescued us from spiritual death and made us ALIVE in Christ Jesus! We went from carrying the stench of death to the sweet, fresh, aroma of life in Christ.
John 5:24
“Very truly I (Jesus) tell you, whoever hears My Word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed from death to life.”

Don’t you want to be alive in Christ and spend eternity in heaven where there is joy unspeakable?

Acts 16:31
Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.

Romans 10:9-10
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Father God, thank You for loving me and for showing that love by sending Jesus to shed His blood for my sins. Thank You for giving me eternal life with You, life that can never be taken away for it is sealed through Your Holy Spirit! I give You all glory, honor, and praise this day, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
