Devotion 2/8, There at the start, before the beginning of time

…the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Genesis 2:7

Man didn’t become a living being  until God breathed the breath of life into our bodies. It is pretty amazing to think that the breath you and I are breathing right now, has its origin in God Himself! We can look at our hands and feet and know that God formed them to serve Him, and He gave us breath to keep these bodies alive and well with voices to praise Him and speak of His great love for mankind. God took special care in designing and making us. We are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). God does not make mistakes. He fashioned every tiny aspect of us, our eye and hair color, size and shape…etc. We, as His creation, should feel very loved by Him!
We did not evolve from an ape, and this world did not come to be by the Big Bang Theory. These are lies from satan himself and should be rejected as such. I know they are taught to us as facts in our world, but they contradict God’s Word and God never lies, mankind is misled by satan and lies regularly!

Holy and Righteous God, please give me eyes to see and avoid evil. Please give me the wisdom to know deceptive and false teachings when placed before me. Empower me to live a thankful life of holiness rooted in Jesus as my Lord and overflowing with thankfulness. I pray to honor and exalt Jesus as Lord to the glory of God the Father and in the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen. https://youtu.be/fyYn21RdBBQ?feature=shared

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
