Devotion 2/11, You are one of his masterpieces!
For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10
God prepared in advance (before our salvation) the blueprint for our lives. He has mapped out what will bring Him glory and our good during our time on this earth. Our responsibility is to find His perfect will for us and then obey Him by following that will. We do this by studying His Word and listen to and are guided by the indwelling Holy Spirit which will lead us to confess and forsake sin in our lives as soon as we are aware of it (1 John 1:9).
The result of salvation is that we are His workmanship, not our own, but HIS. A born-again believer is a brand-new masterpiece of God! 2 Corinthians 5:17 says that we are a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new.
God lovingly designed us and gives each of us our own talents and abilities to live a life that is pleasing to Him.
We are God’s artistry in human form. He fashioned us (Psalm 139:13-16) and re-created us in Christ to display his magnificent work. God is the ultimate artist and artisan! You are one of his masterpieces!
Thank You Jesus for making me a new creation through Your precious blood shed for the forgiveness of my sins. I pray that You help me to live for You each day and to be an accurate example of Your love to all I meet. I love You so and give You all praise, honor, and glory this day, Amen!
You are His masterpiece, His creation. Why not start the day with all of creation, singing His praises and giving Him thanks. He created each of us for His purpose.
