Devotion 2/24, Faithful to our faith family and God

I will marry you forever; I will marry you with justice and righteousness, with love and compassion. I will faithfully marry you, and you will acknowledge the LORD.    Hosea 2:19-20

From Philip Ware:

God longed for Israel to be faithful to him. Despite past unfaithfulness, God offered forgiveness to His people and hope that they could restore their relationship with Him again. If God was willing to pay an incredibly high price to do this, shouldn’t we do the same among ourselves? But, let’s go one step further: let’s be faithful to each other and to God to begin with!

Heavenly Father, God of compassion, please give me a more forgiving and sensitive heart. Also, dear Father, please give me a faithful heart that does not deviate from the promises and vows I have made to you and to others. Lord I pray that our family of faith and all who come behind us find us faithful. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
