Devotion 3/4, Give Him your undivided Attention

Daniel replied, “No wise man, enchanter, magician or diviner can explain to the king the mystery he has asked about, but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries.”.

Daniel 2:27-28

From the beginning of time God has wanted the heart of mankind. He wants us to call on Him and come to Him in prayer, to seek His will, and trust Him in all things. When we do, He is available to us, longing for all to look to Him and live. His arms are always open to any who will turn to Him. He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9)!

God wants us to seek Him with all our heart, have you ever wondered why? I believe it is because when we search the Scriptures and come to Him in prayer about our troubles and cares, He has our undivided attention. And really, doesn’t He deserve our undivided attention?

He also knows the human heart and how very fickle it can be. We are to easily distracted and captured by the unimportant. So, He gives us reminders in His Word to search for Him with all our heart so that we don’t start taking Him for granted, but are always mindful of the Holy God that we serve, love, and call Father!

Thank You Father God for loving me, for sending Jesus to be my Redeemer by the shedding of His precious blood for my sin, and for all Your wonderful care and keeping of me. I give You all praise, glory and honor this day Father, Amen!

Give Him your undivided Attention.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
