Devotion 5/10, Confess & Believe

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
While being justified by faith alone is wonderful, it is not enough to deliver us from the power of sin in our lives here and now.
“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved!”
Instead of waiting for some new truth to fall from heaven, or float up from the abyss, we need to be focusing and recognize that truth has already been given. All who confess Christ as Lord, and believe in His resurrection, will be saved.
Lord, your truth is so clear and at times we are distracted so easily by the way of this world. I pray for focus on your Word and to totally expose my heart to you in prayer each and every day. May those that cross my path know you are Lord of all by my actions and my words. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
