Devotion 5/11, The Kingdom of God

“The God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. . . . It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.”. Daniel 2:44
The story of King Nebuchadnezzar and Daniel is interesting but the theme is again our God is in control and His Kingdom will be everlasting. The “only” way to His Kingdom is through Jesus Christ.
The Bible teaches that God calls all of us to believe in Him and become a part of his kingdom. By trusting in Jesus, God’s Son, as our Savior, we can have life to the fullest. So each of us faces a choice: Will we pledge our lives to an earthly kingdom or to the kingdom of God? The way we respond makes all the difference in life.
Sovereign Lord, thank you for sending Jesus to give us full life in your kingdom. May we live for you each day. Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
