Devotion 5/24, Look to God
But let all who take refuge in you [O Lord] be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. Psalm 5:11
God deals with His enemies in judgment, but His friends have reason to rejoice and shout for joy as they find Him to be their Refuge, strong and mighty! May all who love Jehovah magnify Him as their unfailing Defender! There can be no mistake about it, God does favor the righteous person, He will surround them with grace like a protective shield.
Psalm 32:10
Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but loving devotion surrounds him who trusts in the LORD.
Aren’t you glad that God loves us so very much! We did not one thing to deserve His love, but praise His holy name He loves us and proved it by sending Jesus to die for our sins and through faith in Christ we have eternal life and can call God our Father! We can rejoice as no other because of the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross!
We praise you, our magnificent God and our tender, loving Father. We rejoice in your merciful kindness, awesome holiness, rich forgiveness, and never-ending love. We find our hope and protection in you. You are our hope for the future. In your name, and in the name of your Son Jesus, we rejoice and offer praise. Amen.
