Devotion 5/31, Live a Holy Life

Be very careful, then, how you live — not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
Ephesians 5:15
We certainly live in evil times, don’t we? Our living for Christ should be more evident to those around us than ever before. When people constantly deal with a world that is full of rejection, fear, and hate; those of us who know Christ can be a beacon of light to them of hope, peace, joy, and love!
Colossians 4:5-6
Be wise in the way you act towards outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
As Paul has done many times throughout his letters of instruction to the various churches, he is reminding them to live holy lives. The unsaved around us are always watching how we act and speak. Our behavior and conversation should be laced with grace, mercy, and compassion for a world that is lost and in need of the Savior.
Thank You Lord Jesus for loving me and for dying for me so I can live eternally with you. Help me to be an accurate example of You to all I interact with my Redeemer, for Your glory. I give you all praise and honor this day, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
